    after installing redhat 9.0, PC boots with L only....

    Hi! I have just installed RedHat 9.0 on my Intel 815 PC with 256 MB RAM and 20GB HD. After installing all three CDs, system rebooted by itself at the end and it came back with L and a cursour next to it. I don't understand what the problem is here. Can someone help me out??

    It seems to me that you opted to install LILO as your boot loader instead of GRUB. Is that correct? If it is, I'd suggest you reinstall with GRUB instead.

    It is working now..

    Thanks guys, I did use LILO before now I used GRUB and it worked fine.
