    Failure installation Linux Fedora Core 2

    I am new bee in Linux.
    This is my first time of Linux installation.
    While i am installing Linux , i come to this fatal error :
    Vi-common-6.2.121-1,fatal error .This fatal error may due to media failure,lack of disk space or hardware problem.

    I am using a new harddsik for my linux installation.Why does this error occur?Does anyone has ideas on this?

    I'm not sure what the problem might be but are you sure you downloaded and burned the image to CD correctly?

    Also, can I recommend that you try a newer version of Fedora? The reason is that FC2 is several years old now and is no longer supported. In addition, you'll get much better hardware support with a newer version of Fedora. I think they are all the way up to version 7 now, with version 8 to come out soon.
