You will need first DVD only to install Debian. Other two DVDs have tons of packages which you dont need right now.
I will install Blackroute in my test machine tomoro and let you know how it goes.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

BlackRoute is SLAX based and It doesn't have any option for HardDisk Installation. Its just a LiveCD like Slax. I am posting from it right now, I will try to search a bit more and let you know.
I like its default Wallpaper, exorcist.jpg.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
