Installing Redhat
I am installing Redhat 8.0 onto my server machine. I downloaded all of the i336 images from an FTP and burned them onto a bootable cdrom. When I insert the CDrom into the server it says disk failure. It tries to read it but it can't.
Any ideas? What is the basic procedure for installing Linux once you have the image files downloaded.
Server specs:
AMD Anthlon xp 1700 with stock fan
512 mb pc2100 ( soon to be 1.5 gig)
MSI nforce 2 MB
20 GB WD HD
300 WATT PSU

Ok well I read about the rawrite utility on Redhat. I have a blank floppy but then when I do the command lines in command prompt nothing happens after I type in rawrite. If I try and click on it in the dosutils folder it just flashes a DOS window for a few seconds and then nothing. Any ideas?

Where exactly did you get your iso's from?
What procedure are you following to use a boot image?
Did you burn those cd's as images/iso's?
Can you boot from your cd rom? - is your computer set up to do that?
Check out my guide - the link is below in my signature.
Read through that and then let me know where your at.
