    Installation on USB HDD



    please suggest how to install Linux on USB HDD, my requirement is that i have one 40 GB USB HDD, i want to install on it and whenever i want to work on linux i just plug this HDD with my laptop and boot from linux. I will use this HDD to only my laptop so no hardware change for installed Linux os.

    Does your Lappy's BIOS supports booting up from External Device?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
