Debian 4 inatllation fails with Q965GF
HI,
I have been trying to install the Debian 4 in Q965GF Motherboard. It fails to load
with a error message "No common CD-ROM drive detected". Also it asks for a cdrom driver or select the cdrom module manually.
Also tried with the IDE/AHCI mode installation in BIOS. But both fails.
What to do in this case. Any kernel boot parameter available to load the Debian OS?
Pls help...

A Debian installation CD with a newer kernel will work nicely:

Just got the CD to install with the following boot parameter
"install generic.all_generic_ide=1"
With this boot parameter my Cd-ROM is sensing

What is backparted d-i images?
the link goes for a CD download (223MB). What to do with this?
whether we need to boot through this for installation?
