Partitions not reading properly
I have had a dual boot Ubuntu/XP pc for a while, but yesterday it refused to boot into windows and I cant get anything from my data partition! I can boot into Ubuntu fine but with windows it gets to the windows logo then bluescreens on me.
Does this sound like a hardware problem or a virus?
Please help, I really dont wanna have lost all that data.
Thanks.

Hi and Welcome !
Its Windows OS problem and you should ask for help in Windows OS Forums only.
You can mount Windows Partitions in Ubuntu and recover data easily. Ubuntu supports read/write access in FAT32 partitions by default. Install ntfs-3g package to enable NTFS read/write access. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
