lightest version, install from floppies ?!
pls, s'cuse me for the dumb question, guys, but i need to set up linux on a "dinosuar"-old machine (16 RAM, 1 MB VRAM, 1.5 GB HDD) and - here's the "good" part - it has only floppy drive - no CD ROM, no internet. So, I was wondering if there is a way of installing some kind of linux - just any kind via floppy drive only or maybe some other clever idea from you ?!
sorry, if I sound a bit stupid...
Thanx a bunch.
Sincerely,
vpv

I am in a similar position cept mine is from the cretacius 88mhz 700mb hd and 8mb, i booted and then ran a serial to ahub (that converted signal into an ethernet calbe) to an ethernet switch, and they have adapters for that apperently, so i was able to get a network install going
