damaged ubuntu installation
Yesterday I finished downloading Fedora 8 and decided to install it. The partition layout is attached. In sda6 I have ubuntu installed and in sda5 fedora 7. So I boot from the cd select sda5 to format as ext 3 and mount to /. I don't install new bootloader and the installation finishes successfully.
Today I try to boot to ubuntu and I get the following:

Hi valemon !
Something is wrong with UUID only. Boot up from LiveCD, mount sda6 and replace UUID=xyz with /dev/sda6 in /etc/fstab and menu.lst files. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thank you for replying devils_casper!
This UUID was referring to hda5, the fedora installation. So in the fstab file in the /dev/hda5 section I put # and ubuntu boots now. I never liked fedora...
