Uninstall ubuntu from my laptop
To Whom it may concern,
I am brand NEW to Linux and would like to uninstall ubuntu from my laptop so that I can run INSTEAD on my mac.
Ubuntu is the only OS on my laptop and I do not see an uninstall button or icon please help

You can delete the partitions, or install another distribution right over them.oz

How?
Not to sound dumb but how do I delete the partitions so that i can reinstall xp on this laptop.
I then will put linux on my mac and run in a VM machine to practice

The PartedMagic LiveCD is a very good tool for working with partitions, and it's easy to use:
Parted Magic
If you should need to remove GRUB from the master boot record (MBR), you can use the SuperGRUB LiveCD for that:
Super Grub Disk Webpage: Home Page
It's a great utility for working with GRUB, LILO, and Windows bootloaders.oz

you should just be able to pop in your windows xp cd, boot, and then delete the partitions and install windows without any problems
