Umm...can you provide some more info? What is a Psion 5mx? What do you want to do with the box? Etc.

thhe 5mx is a handheld computer with a 33mhz ARM archetecture processor with epoc as an embeded os.

what i want to do is put a basic linux installation oon it and boot it with arlo (which i have already installed.) but i am unsure what packages i need to boot linux and how to install them if they are tarballs or rpms (i know i can get the cf card repartitioned but how do i tell my sesktop to install the packages to it.

i dont know how to o what you are asking, but look at the software used on the sharp zarus, a linux kernel compiled for handhelds, (your more likely to get a useful system with it)

the idea is not to remove epoc (you can't) but to create a dual boot handheld.

by the way can someone post the contents of their /boot folder (my redhat box won't boot without me downloading more cd images.)

    THANX
