RH9 "remounting root filesystem in read-write mode"
Hello,
I have just installed RedHat 9.0. The installation appeared to be successful but when attempting to boot, it hangs up at the message "remounting root filesystem in read-write mode".
I reloaded and received the same problem. All three install disks pass the mediacheck.
Any ideas as to where to start?

This is not an install disk problem, but a hard disk problem - Linux cannot make your H.D. root part read-write for some reason. Did you install with ext2 or ext3? If ext2 you could try to boot and mount ro, then run fsck to check for errors, or boot and mount ro and attempt to manually remount the filesystem rw... May give you an error message or something you can work with.
