Xandros: could not find kernel image
I get an error message: Could not find kernel image. I have a SATA optical drive, a Xandros Installation disk, the XD4_MARVELL.iso image but still no joy.
Note, I've installed Xandros Professional 4 on an old PIII and an HP Laptop so I know an image is available. I cannot get the boot process to read the CD drive (SATA 4)

Boot Loader
Grub, which includes all the worst parts of BASH
BTW, I get a hang REGARDLESS of which distribution I try (Xandros, Ubuntu, Red Hat). Of course, Windoze will install.

GRUB is one of the best Boot Loader. Boot up from any LiveCD and mount / ( or /boot, if you have creates ) partition of Xandros. Post the contents of /boot/grub/grub.conf file and output of fdisk -l command here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
