PPC install
I was trying to install linux on an OLD powerpc laptop (ie mac), I got bootx working, and the computer would reboot just fine and linux booted, i even got to the installer, but once there, i selected install from cd (mandrake 9.1) and it says that it cannot find the cd, enen though i installed bootx from it, i dont think it is a hardware issue, I dont need mac on it anymore, so if anyone has a good idea how to completly remove mac first, im open to that also.

I don't know about MDK on PPC, but I got Gentoo working on my PPC laptop with no problems whatsoever. If you're feeling up to it, try out gentoo on the ole mac.
