    Trouble choosing...

    Hi,

    I'm quite new to linux, and I am loving Ubuntu on my laptop, but I have a question about what I should go with for an older laptop I have.

    It has like 550MHz w/ 64MB RAM. I tried installing DSL, but after install, when I reboot without cd, nothing happens but a flashing cursor on a black screen. Any ideas? or alternatively how could I get DSL installed properly.

    Basically all I want to be able to use that old clunker for is for taking to work for word processing and internet browsing. Just the basics.
