Safe Mode only
I've just bought a Linux XP 2008 OS--I know nothing about it--I ran across the info because I'm trying to save my IBM 600e laptop (yeah, I know). The instructions say to remove any OS that I have on the computer before I load the Linux. My probelm is that I can only open my OS (Win.XP Pro) in Safe Mode. I really need some help. I fear I am totally out of my league.
Thanks,

Usually Linux installers have their own partition tools so you can do the work from there. If not I would suggest getting your hands on the Gparted liveCD and do your partitioning with that. It is only 64MB in size.
