Installing DS Linux on iBook

Hello,

I recently have attempted to install Debian 4.0 on an old iBook that I have, but everytime I install Debian, graphical artefacts appear on the screen. I assume this problem is being caused by a lack of graphical processing power from the iBook, as it only has a Rage 8MB card. I then thought about installing Damn Small Linux, but every time I made to install a DSL disk burnt with Nero StartSmart, it refused to install. Can anybody help me with what I should be doing? Thanks for any contributions.

Damn Small is built for the x86 CPU family. I think the same is true for Debian 4.0, but that does have a port that you can use to install on an iBook. You can find the link for some info on this here.
