Shutdown -h -P now not working
One of my machine is not shutdown(Rebooting immediately ) . But remaining all the machine getting shutdown after executing the command "Shutdown -h -P now". My kernel is 2.6.20.11 and for 64 bit machine.
Please advice how to resolve this ....

What distro are you running?
Try this command as su, it may do the trickThis is from the Linux Command Directory, so if you have any problems:telinit -t20
Linux Command Directory: shutdown
Linux Command Directory: telinit

reboot after shutdown
Try "modprobe apm"
