Kernal Panic with GeFroce 5200 on Dell 260

All,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I solved this problem for myself once and saved the link where I googled the information and have since had a crash, lost the link and forgot the fix. I have tried googling again but either can't remember what I did or the link is no longer there. I'm going to install Fedora Core... When I boot up there is a kernal panic and the computer locks up. I already know this is because of a deficency between the video card, the comptuer and fedora. I have already looked at the drivers out there and determined that they will not solve my problem. What did solve my problem was saving a change to the boot parameters. The change was something to the effect of adding agp=on or off or something. I can't seem to get it right now and I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me figure this out. Much appreciated if you can. Thanks in advance.

Hiya Uleepera,
Welcome to the forums.
Have you tried the code that you posted? (agp=on) You could try the acpi=off parameter. Use google to search for Fedora boot parameters, you'll get a lot of hits.

Text install does me no good as I run into the Kernal panic when I try and load the system after boot as well.

I tried AGP=ON as well as a couple others, they don't seem to be the right ones.

I have tried search loosely as well as pretty defined and most of what I find are references to a linux driver pack. But this fix was much easier and if I remember correctly the driver pack did not help.
