    S.O.S. My install wont install

Hello everyone. I downloaded the Ububtu ISO. burned it on a CD and booted my computer with the disk in the CD ROM. The menu came up asking me what I wanted to do, so I clicked the install option. Then the screen goes black and I'm waiting for the next screen.... and waiting.... and waiting... then my keyboard LED lights start flashing. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? The hard drive I'm installing on has Windows on it but I was going to format over that. I have a AMD processor so I downloaded the AMD64 version ISO. Any suggestions anyone? Thank you.

Check the CD integrity ... if it's Ok I'd try the alternate CD this allows a text based install.
