Installed xubuntu how do I start it ?

When it restarts I get a lot of text which ends like this

So what do I do now ?

When you say you can't start Xubuntu, do you mean that you can't get into X? I mean, do you just have a black screen with a flashing cursor? If so, try typing startx at the prompt and pressing return. However, there could be an issue with your graphics card, in which case this won't work. What graphics card do you have?

Well I think that is it, though you probably don't want to see all that, but i just love typing
It probably is graphics , I have a SIS 6326 AGP.
I'll try changing the graphics card but I only have 3 of the same and maybe its not suitable.
Perhaps I should try a different version of Linux.


No I didn't have a blank screen at the start. but a lot of text and I had to login with name and password

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Reconfigure display settings and execute startx Or reboot machine.
In case it doesn't work, post the output of this

cat /etc/*release

I did the configure settings, but wasn't sure how to save it.
I did the startx but got a fatal server error.
