Fedora Core 2 installation hangs...
I have tried several times to install Redhat Fedora Core 2 on my "server", and installation always seems to just stall at "Loading aic7xxx driver..."
System Specs
NCR S-25 (i think?)
PIII - 750Mhz
512Mb PC100(?) ECC ram
MegaRAID card with a 6 disk array
The RAID adapeter is an add-on card, and the drivers load fine for it, but there is an onboard SCSI adapter, and that seems to be what is taking so long to load drivers for.
I have let the machine set at this point for the greater part of 12 hours, with nothing happening.
Goggle, hasnt been my friend either. Each search i did with 'Fedora' 'aic7xxx' and 'hang', i got not computer related results.
Is there a way to tell it to skip a certian hardware device? I tried booting with no probe, but it doesnt see my RAID card, and in turn doesnt see my harddrives attacted to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jonathan
