Linux partitioner for ZFS?
I'm trying to dual boot w/ Gutsy and openSolaris, but i ran the installer of solaris and the partitioner doesn't recognize my other partitions. I dont want to run it for fear of killing my data, so does anyone know if/how i can format an empty partition to ZFS? I hate playing russian roulette with my 5 partitions. *eek*

I don't think Linux currently supports ZFS (in FreeBSD its experimental). I don't know if creating a Solaris type partition in the free space using Linux using fdisk will help (I've not run Solaris/opensolaris for a while, so haven't tried this).

As far as I know, there's some effort going on to implement it as a FUSE filesystem.

I haven't tested it, though.
