Partition issue
i have a 60gb HD, 53 is for winxp and 7gb went all crazy and is useless.
i want to make about 17gb for Mandrake 10.0 so i downloaded Partition Magic 8.0. I tried to make the new partition and make my file system type NTFS and it looked like everything was fine and i pressed apply. it had no error message but their was no new partition. I was thinking it may be because my partition that has windows is NTFS but i don't know that kinda stuff. am i doing something in that part wrong or is it the file system type i am choosing that is the probelm.
anyways when it asks what file system type i want, which do i select:
FAT
FAT32
NTFS
Linux Ext2
Linux Ext3
Linux Swap
thanks for the help... i need it bad

select ext3 which will be mounted on / ,and swap for the swap partition that you would like to use (different partition)
