Installing Linux on a 64-bit system
I'm building a 64-bit machine with a socket 754 (Athlon 64) processor. It's very, very, very difficult to find systems of this type tested with Linux on Google, and the first motherboard I tried wouldn't work with Linux at all. So I was wondering if anyone here has built a working Athlon 64 system that runs Linux, and if so, what are the specs (especially the motherboard model)?
