Help (Cant install)

Somebody please help I downloaded Ubuntu and I burned using Magic Iso.
I know a big amount about computers and a bit about linux.
Please help and if you need any information just ask.
Now on to the problem.
When I installed Ubuntu a few errors came up in the beginning but nothing big so it went on. Everything installed great. The background picture showed up I installed put my time keyboard and all of that. Then...I go to sign in. So I put my username and password in. I hit enter and I hear the sound..but ...after 2 seconds the screen screws up like when the cable on the T.V. skips and you see all the wierd colors. Then it goes back an askes me for my username and pass again!..ive wiped and reinstalled again and again. Ive tried multiple things. Please help!!

hi,

seems like the gui crashed. can be a bad download. Try this. When the black command screen appears - log in as the root and type 'startx'.

another thing u can do is check the /etc/X11/xorgconfig.

also try to look at the X logs in /var/log
