Welcome to the forums!
You'll need to check your monitor manual for the proper horizontal and vertical refresh rates, then edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to include the proper rates.
Note that you'll need root permissions to edit that file.
What distribution are you running?

Obtain the proper refresh rates from the manual, go to a terminal, su to root, edit the file as required:
Code:su nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
