    Welcome to the forums!

You'll need to check your monitor manual for the proper horizontal and vertical refresh rates, then edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to include the proper rates.

Note that you'll need root permissions to edit that file.

    What distribution are you running?

Edit: oops... just noticed you said you are running Fedora 9.

Obtain the proper refresh rates from the manual, go to a terminal, su to root, edit the file as required:

    Code:
    su

    nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
