    Red face Fedora installtion problem


    i have downloaded the fedora 9 1 week before through the using bittorent.
    i burned the iso using nero..
    i know that downloading through bittorent will be error check...
    when i boot it its goes for about 4 or five steps copy files to source disk. then simply it hangs..

    i have hp dvd writer 735d..

    is the problem with hardware or the Fedora DVD.
    i have 80gb harddisk dedicated to linux.

    Hello and Welcome!

    First, did you actually burn the CD as an .iso image? And if so, did you verify the md5sum for integrity? To do so, execute
    Code:
    md5sum <isofilename>
    replacing <isofilename> with the correct filename.
