HELP.. Problem loading WLAN on my Compaq Laptop
Hi everyone.. Probably an old question but i'm new to Linux..
I am trying to configure WLAN on my Compaq Laptop (using Ubuntu OS)
I have installed ndiswrapper and loaded both bcmwl6.sys and netbc6.inf.
However when I enter the command iwconfig wlan0, No such device is returned.
ndiswrapper -l displays both bcmwl6 and netbc6 but both are invalid drivers..
Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong..
I've spent hours on this.. Learning a lot about Ubuntu commands however getting nowhere with wireless.
Thanks
Cabzy

There most likely are native Linux drivers loading. These will interfere with NDISwrapper.
It is better to try and use the native drivers, if you can. More info is needed, post the output of these commands.
Code:lspci -nn
Code:lsusb
