[SOLVED] Grub Loading Error 17...Help please!!

I had installed both Ubuntu and windows XP on the same computer but i decided to uninstall Ubuntu. That's why i used Norton Partition Magic to erase the three partitions that linux had created.then i turned unallocated space into ntfs format and tried to merge it with the existing windows partition.and when i rebooted, the error "Grub loading... error 17" appeared.Could you tell me what to do??i read that the system can't find the /boot/grub/menu.lst file but i don't know how to solve this problem

If you have a MS XP cd , boot into the recovery console (I think the first repair option) and run "fixmbr".
