dear forum
i have redhat enterprise 5 linux cd's.i want to install linux on LAN
in such a way that users are created on server and these users can
be logged in from client(other than server pc).how can we achieve
this type of configuration.and also which type of installation package
(that is desktop,server,workstation)needed and on which pc.and how to configure this type of network.my email id is

if i understand your question you wanna install a linux server and let users from the same LAN access it via clients?
if its the case all you need is to install the server, and as ssh is enabled by default you just create accounts for users and set passwords for them. then you give every user his/her account-password and s/he will be able to login from their PCs(clients) with an ssh client. if their PCs(clients) are running windows they can use teraterm, putty .... if they are running linux/unix/mac you dont need any special programLinux and me it's a love story
