    need help on fedora 9 distro and vmware


    hi everybody,

    I want to install Linux with the intention of working with gcc compiler and the open java development kit that we find in fedora distros, but I already have vista ultimate installed in my comp, and to repartition the HDD its a headache.. so I downloaded the <VMware-workstation-6.5.1-126130> and am looking forward to download this fedora 9 vmware release Fedora 9 VMware Image | VM Planet does it have all the wanted packages included??

    my hardware is
    core 2 quad 6600, 2.4 GHz
    4 GB DDR2
    8600GT 512MB video adapter
    DG35EC motherboard

    any suggestions? for any other vmware linux distros?? please.. any help would be appreciated greatly.. thanks

    if you have Vmwareworkstation , just install directly Fedora 9 or 10 . on It and should be fine
