This must have been asked a thousand time but I still cant get it right.
I am running a dual system XP pro & SuSE9.1pro (KDE 3.2 // 2.0.49_23 {no idea what this means})
I have downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia website and saved it onto disk us o/s XP. On opening SuSE and inserting the cd i save the drivers on the file name is;
NVIDIA-LINUX-x86_64-1.0-6111-pkg2.run
What do I do now???
I've tried archiving the file. Then did the following
alt+ctrl+f1
init 3
"media/cdrecorder/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0.6111-pkg2.run.zip"
also
"media/cdrecorder/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0.6111-pkg2.run.tar.gz"
Then i get theon of the following errors-:
"-bash:............................................. ... No such file or directory"
or
"tar:Error is not recoverable:exiting now
tar:Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors"
Please help I'm getting very dispondent with the way one has to install hardware on linux.
