Problems about installing Fedora 6 from hard disk

    E: 70G FAT32
    grub4dos/gurb.exe etc
    vmlinuz
    initrd.img
    FC-6-i386-DVD.iso
I boot from dos and run grub.exe
    c:>cd grub4dos
    c:\grub4dos>grub
    grub>root (hd0,5)
    grub>kernel /vmlinuz
    grub>initrd /initrd.img
    grub>boot
Language Selection:english---> Keyboard Configuration:US---->Alternative Installation Methods: hard disk--->then driver disk source, list hdc and sda
but I choose either item, error takes place, failed to mount driver disk
there is a note in the fedora 6 installation documents

【 Cannot Install from LVM Partitions
You cannot use ISO files on partitions controlled by LVM (Logical Volume Management). 】
I think maybe my partition is controlled by LVM so ISO files can't be read.

    My problem is:
can you tell me how to know whether the partition is controlled by LVM and how to make the partition not be controlled by LVM?
