    Puppy install on Dell PC

Unable to run Puppy on Dell PC running XP. Changed boot sequence without success. Does not recognize OS. Runs great on other PC's. Any help appreciated.

    thank you

What exactly do you mean by "unable to run"? Does Puppy install, but will not be recognised by the bootloader? Is Puppy installed on the harddisk or are you running it as a live version? Are you using CD or USB stick to do your installation or boot? Version 4.00 had some problems with booting when version 3 was installed, but version 4.1+ has had no such problems.

Trying to run from CD. When booting, system ignores CD and loads windows. Version 4.0

    thank you

    Welcome to the forums!

If the CD works in other computers but not on the Dell, check the BIOS again to make sure it is set to boot from the CD drive, and make sure the drive itself is good by testing/booting other known good CDs from it.
