If on system boot your machine doesn't give you an option to choose "boot from the CD drive" by pressing an F-key, you'll probably need to set your BIOS configuration screen to boot from the CD first. If you've done all that and it's still not working, you might have burned the disk improperly.

because my friend can install it at his computer

If you know for sure that other CDs will in fact boot from this particular CD drive, maybe the drive doesn't like the media that you used for burning Debian to. Just guessing, though.
Maybe someone else will reply with some other thoughts on it.oz
