Run linux from flash drive only
i have an old computer without a harddrive, and about 56mb of RAM, what would be the best distribution to run only from a flash drive? i will only be using this computer for playing music in my room from my external HD(which is solely for music)

Ok, I will tell you Very easy way to do it.
- Many distros can be installed on pen drive.
- But you need a lightweight one. and also want to play music.
- Most distros do not come with all multimedia codecs. and cant be remastered quickly.
What you need is PUPPY Linux. You can download Offical release or a Puplet which is a remaster.
Once you boot up you can easily use Universal Installer to install puppy on a USB.
Which is a Full install
Or
You can download UNetbootin for Linux or Windows. to create a Live pen drive.
Run the Program, Select the downloaded ISO and plug-in your pendrive
and you are done.
