linux setup failure!

i need help...ive downloaded the linux iso files (shrike),mounted themwith daemon and put the bootdisk.img file onto a floppy disk....although when i try to boot from the floppy and start the installation process i get a error...something like linux....setup failure

anyone know how i can sort this out please?

the error i got was SYSLINUX 2.00 2002-10-25 BOOT failed

it would seem that your disk is unreadable. Have you checked so that the floppy is functioning correctly?
Btw., why don't you just burn out the ISOs on CDs?

thanks for replying,what will i need to burn onto a cd?all of te contents or just the certain bootdisk.img files and stuff?

i use nero burning rom version 5.5.5.7.
