I have a Gateway tower and OpenSuse 11.1 DVD

I can boot from the DVD and get the installation menu, but cannot get past the next screen. I can verify the installation media on my newer HP laptop, so the DVD is ok (at least the HP DVD drive can read it ok).

But any of the menu items takes me to the progress screen after the kernel loads and goes no further.

Any ideas on what to try? Other than getting a newer computer
