instilation problem
hi im new to linux. im trying to install ubuntu and when i install it i try to boot my computer in ubuntu and it takes me to a black screen where i can type stuff and it sais something like infratramfs what do i do to make it work. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you downloaded and burned .iso image of Ubuntu yourself? From where did you download .iso image?
It looks like problem is in Installation CD/DVD only. Either downloaded image is corrupted or image has been burned incorrectly.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

i downloaded it from isohunt which is a tourrent site if it is a bad burn then where do u suggest i go download it at? and ty very much with ur help.
