    Hi and Welcome !

Have you downloaded and burned .iso image of Ubuntu yourself? From where did you download .iso image?

It looks like problem is in Installation CD/DVD only. Either downloaded image is corrupted or image has been burned incorrectly.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Welcome to LinuxForums!

Try the Ubuntu site: Download Ubuntu | Ubuntu

When you burn to disk, choose slowest speed.
