    Installing thunderbird 2.0 beta

    Hi friends.. I have a problem installing this software. i extracted the file. but when i typed ./configure " No such error or directry" error is coming.. I was trying to install as per the instruction given in this site only. please help me friends..

    Are you really install Thunderbird beta 2.0 from source? while there is stable release version

    Please look again there is no such error, copy paste the error, don't type it.
    But I guess its because there is no configure script in the folder.

    do you have a make file in that directory form which you are trying to install

    Post which distribution you are using so we can give you simple instructions on how to install it. There is available, but don't download it, there is a better way, using the "Package Manager" instead to install it, it will download it for you.
