Fedora 8 VGA mode not support

    i installed fedora 8 dual boot w/Vistas.
recieved Vga not support, followed kernel e kerenl line space 3 enter b reset display to defaults fedora loaded fine but fire fox unreadable (print too small to read ) went to system submenu display changed settings 600 x 800 to 640 X 840 something like and recived VGA not support once again.
went to root login but system-config-display brings the VGA not support screen up. cmd now shows "Fatal IO error 11 on display. can you help me get back.
i can live without a browser on linux if i have to.

    Welcome to the forums!

If you haven't installed Fedora yet, you might want to consider installing a newer version because Fedora Core 8 is no longer supported and it is difficult to find packages for it in some cases.

A later release will also detect your computer hardware better.
