Wanted to upgrade vista to windows7 on dual boot fedora
i am having a dual boot pc with vista and Fedora10 on it. I wanted to upgrade my vista to windows 7 but i doubt that it may cause some trouble as bootloaders may clash or something like this....
so plz tell me is it safe to upgrade or is their any way out to upgrade without losing linux??

If you upgrade your Windows install you will have to reinstall the bootloader for Linux afterwards. You can do this with your Fedora install CD in rescue mode. Have you ever installed grub before?

Grub installation is really easy. After Windows OS Upgrade, boot up from Fedora Installation CD/DVD and select Rescue Mode.
Execute this at prompt :
Thats it !Code:chroot /mnt/sysimage grub-install /dev/sda exit exit
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
