    [Solved] GRUB rebooting PC


    My GRUB displays 2 or 3 lines and then automatically reboots the machine and this goes on forever.

    How can I solve this?

    Hi. We need more info. To start, what distro are you using?

    At the initial GRUB screen, you should remove quiet splash from the boot line, so you can look at the boot messages.

    Reboot loop resolved (I hope) Me and U(buntu)

    Thanks, but I chose to reinstall and this time to remember to disconnect the USB hard drive. It had caused some problems as the usb drive was named first as sda and I intuitively installed to sda. Silly there is no popu warning to suggest to disconnect the usb drive and begin over.

    It was btw PCLinuxOS.
