    installing on mac

hey guys, long time no see!
been absent from linux for a good few months now, banished from it by winXP on my work pc.
Now i've got a mac for my personal system and i'm loving it. i am hankering after the good old linux days though, and was wondering whats happening on the mac/linux scene?
are there any decent intel mac compatible linux distro's? i'm on a macbook 13" and most of the google searches i've done bring up pretty ancient stuff to do with the old powerpc macs.
also what is there to look out for? any snags, bugs issues with installing on mac?
    thanks for your help!

x86 processor is an x86 processor. It just down to the specific hardware in your Mac.
