can't install RedHat to external USB hard drive (help!)
posted this in the RedHat forum but figured it might be better here:
Just got a Nexstar USB hard drive enclosure with a 120 gig hard drive for the purpose of installing Red Hat 9 (have disks). The hard drive is currently unformated and connected via a USB 1 port (my comp doesn't have any USB2 ports).
When I boot from the CD it doesn't recognize the external hard drive
I'm looking for a 120 gig sda drive, right? None shows up (neither any SDA drive nor any 120 gig drive)
I'm very new to linux but I'm comfortable using a prompt if I have the commands needed.
Thanks in advance for your help.
