    SuSE 8.1 upgrade to 8.2....



    Hello All,

    I have been trying to get my SuSE 8.1 to upgrade to the new 8.2.

    I went to YaST -> Online Update -> Automatic Update and that was it. At the end I received the message that everything was OK.

    I checked to see if I could verify some of the updates, but everything is still at 8.1 level as far I'm concerned.

    How can I know if the upgrade actually happened?

    NOTE: Sorry to post this twice...I posted it initially in the wrong forum.

    Just a thought

    Did it upgrade the kernel? If it did are you using a boot manager such as GRUB? If so it will generally list the new upgrade during startup it will allow you to select either the old kernel configuration or the new one.
