    That's okay.
    You could post a copy of your fstab file for people to look at......it may not help or it may, you never know. Which distro are you using? Can you post the exact command and error message you get?

    ok the error is "Remounting root Filesystem in read-write mode: [FAILED]", If i try to manually mount the root filesystem here is wat i get "#mount -o remount,rw /
    [mntent]: line 1 in /etc/fstab is bad
    mount: can't find / in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
    ".
    my fstab looks like this "/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults, usrquota,grpquota 1 1
    LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
    tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
    sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
    /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0
    ~
    "
    thanks in advance guys
