rokytnji - this laptop doesn't have 2 input drives installed - it is a swappable bay - either floppy or cdrom but bios won't allow boot from cdrom

You might want to talk to Passiday who is a member on this forum. He like you has a laptop that is vintage. Here are some threads I responded to dealing with his problem booting Linux. He might be able to help you as I have sold all my vintage stuff and used the bucks to buy a Asus Micro Desktop.either floppy or cdrom but bios won't allow boot from cdrom
