my boss doesn, think your script will fix the problem because if the hard-drive is not booting except when we change the h/drive to another machine then it boot. So for this reason, we are not booting not to talk of getting to the X window. Also today I managed to install debian on the PC in question and all was fine . But my boss doen't want debian, he wants his Kubuntu and my deadline is Thursday night. PC is lenovo Thinkstation S20.
- 05-12-2010 #12Plug-in Hard disk in another machine and install Kubuntu in same Hard disk. Switch Hard disk back to original machine. You will have to re-configure Graphics and WiFi card, if any.my boss doesn, think your script will fix the problem because if the hard-drive is not booting except when we change the h/drive to another machine then it boot.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Kubuntu installation
